The Nevada Association for Play Therapy (NVAPT) has been organized as a state branch of the National Association for Play Therapy (APT), a professional society whose mission is to promote the value of play, play therapy, and credentialed play therapists. NVAPT is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization formed in April 2022.

NVAPT is committed to building a cohesive community of professionals committed to the practice and promotion of Play Therapy for children and families.

At NVAPT we support local play therapists working with children and families in Nevada by:

• Bring you our annual Nevada Association for Play Therapy Conference.
• Offering networking opportunities that connect Play Therapists across Nevada, including virtual and in-person events.
• Getting you the latest information in the field of play therapy and resources through our e-mail newsletter.
